As a result of my continued involvement in the world of fitness and sports performance training, I learned from my mentor Brian Diaz of the importance of training logs. Hence, below are my attempts to accurately document what I do as a collegiate soccer player, both on and off the field. Enjoy!

Keep on running....

Due to a full body lift yesterday we went out only for a run workout this morning:
3/4 mile warmup down the Duke trail to the fitness loop where we ran a total of 4 repeats around it (it is a little over 1/2 a mile around). Ran solid but let Jared get the best of me on the last loop...Brian's right- I got to get my mind right especially when it comes to training. Also thank you again Meredith for my daily hug and words of encouragement.

Heard a great quote from Saucony this evening: "What is strong? Is is muscle or is it something more? Maybe strong is all you have left when you've used up all your weak." Now sitting here in the upstairs fitness room working on my bike in prep for our ride this weekend and listening to some good music...just keep on runnin.

  1. Its so funny you posted that quote....I heard it on TV as well and immediately thought of you! Its a good one...strength is a choice...its a daily and sometimes moment to moment decision to push forward based on the belief that something within you is greater than the obstacle in front of you.
