As a result of my continued involvement in the world of fitness and sports performance training, I learned from my mentor Brian Diaz of the importance of training logs. Hence, below are my attempts to accurately document what I do as a collegiate soccer player, both on and off the field. Enjoy!

Weekend of Successes

This weekend turned out to be far more than just about soccer...although as always soccer played a huge role in the activities around here.  Started out Thursday night with a quick trip down to NC...glad to have some company along the way too.  Hit the ground running in Raleigh on Friday morning with an accounting job interview...so excited and honored to receive a position that I will start in January!

Then back to CNU for family weekend.  Morning family/friends breakfast.  Then a tough game Saturday afternoon against Averett...dropped that one in a 3-1 loss.  Can't remember the last time someone scored 3 goals against us on our home field.  Individually I played really well - hit a line drive shot in the first half where the keeper made a lucky save...would've put us up 2-1 at that point.  Nonetheless we were disappointed.  Had a nice team tailgate afterwards where I got to visit with Mom, Dad, and Bean for a bit.

Then off to the football game where we enjoyed the action from the press box with President Trible and  co.  Had a great time catching up with him and a number of other faculty members, not to mention great food and view of the field.  Even had the honor of accepting the Captains Cup on behalf of the athletics program at halftime...good thing we had school spirit ties on.

Woke up on the grind again Sunday morning to a nice breakfast with friends and then off to Randolph Macon for a dreary afternoon game.  Took another commanding step in the right direction with a 6-0 win.  Set up our first goal in the first half and then had an assist in the second half.  Glad to end the weekend on a positive note.  More pictures of the weekend action to come.  Off day today to catch up on some work and then a busy travel schedule lies in the coming weeks.
