As a result of my continued involvement in the world of fitness and sports performance training, I learned from my mentor Brian Diaz of the importance of training logs. Hence, below are my attempts to accurately document what I do as a collegiate soccer player, both on and off the field. Enjoy!

Big Big Win

Saturday night under the lights is what we play/train for...especially when it comes to facing tough teams like Methodist.  They've been on a recent hot streak and were ranked above us in the region so we knew we had a battle ahead of us.  Here is the pre-game summary article.  I was very honored/thankful to start my 3rd career game against a huge rival and did everything I could to play my tail off.  We went into half down 1-0 despite playing one of our better games.  We came out the second half flying and went up 2-1.  Then they came down and scored to tie it back up.  Man it was a battle.  We went into OT and lost one of our defenders to a 2nd yellow card - now we were down a man.  Thankfully we immediately scored after that - a huge golden goal by my buddy Denny - to end the game.  Here's the summary article with video highlights.

To top it off, Brian and his family (as well as a special someone who was supposed to be working in NC this weekend) made the trip all the way up here for the game - they got to see a nail biter and I couldn't be more thankful for such great support.  Safe travels to them today.  Here's me, Eli, and Brian after the game - hopefully soon Braden wont' be too shy for the camera anymore :)
