As a result of my continued involvement in the world of fitness and sports performance training, I learned from my mentor Brian Diaz of the importance of training logs. Hence, below are my attempts to accurately document what I do as a collegiate soccer player, both on and off the field. Enjoy!

May Rhythm

One week after the race and I've been able to settle into a good summer routine.  Daily workouts, a few naps here and there, and long/hard weekend rides.  I will miss May when it's over but it's been a great chance for me to get my feet under myself before the start of the internship.

Had mostly lifts and a few running workouts last week which was good to recover some from the race as well as start the process of putting weight back on for soccer.  This past weekend Brian and I nailed down a good 32 miler loop followed by a quick 1 mile run off the bike.  Did another 20 miles with Dad on Sunday morning and needless to say after a full body lift with Brian this morning I am sore!

I also enjoyed catching up some with Nana and Pops this past week and have really enjoyed the great weather here before it gets scorching hot...also got a good soccer skills session in with Meghan.  More of those will be needed this summer.  Tomorrow morning we likely kick off our summer group running...the summer tour is rolling on.
