As a result of my continued involvement in the world of fitness and sports performance training, I learned from my mentor Brian Diaz of the importance of training logs. Hence, below are my attempts to accurately document what I do as a collegiate soccer player, both on and off the field. Enjoy!

Exam Break

Spent the majority of my day in the study lounge getting ready for exams so since it was still nice out when I left (after my brain told me it couldn't go any longer) I decided to get a run workout in.

It's amazing how much stress-relief working out provides me.  Very glad Colin came along to help with some of the pacing.  Did two miles at around 12:50 for 6:25 min/mi pace.  Didn't anticipate on going this fast but was feeling really good out there.  HR entirely too high (especially on the last 1/2 mile back as we started cranking around 5:30 pace to save the average) but that is expected at this point in the game.  Physically and mentally outside of that I felt great.  Avg. HR on the day was about 185 bpm - but this will drop in time.

Heading to bed soon as exams linger.  Excited to learn that Brian is entering the Brunswick Forest Duathlon in May...should be a fun time and a good showing for the team!
