As a result of my continued involvement in the world of fitness and sports performance training, I learned from my mentor Brian Diaz of the importance of training logs. Hence, below are my attempts to accurately document what I do as a collegiate soccer player, both on and off the field. Enjoy!

Monday Grind

Back at the usual routine today to kick off my last week before spring break.

Began the day with tutoring over at Hidenwood Elementary and then weights with the team this afternoon.  We are on a light cycle this week which is good to let the body recover a little bit.
Today's work: deep hang clean squats, manual leg raises, SL squats, SL triple threat, manual BB hip raises, 4 sets of chin ups to fail (16 with no weight, then 8 and 8 with weight vest, 8 with vest off), and abs.  Today the school opened up the new weight room expansion and I have to say it's an impressive set up!

Hit the track afterwards to get some interval work in and was glad to be joined by Steve Landry: 400M repeats - warm up lap at 2 minutes, harder at 1:30, and repeated for a total of 1 mile recovery and 1 mile hard.  Ended with a cool down for a total of 2.25 miles for the day.  Now off to night class.
