As a result of my continued involvement in the world of fitness and sports performance training, I learned from my mentor Brian Diaz of the importance of training logs. Hence, below are my attempts to accurately document what I do as a collegiate soccer player, both on and off the field. Enjoy!

Week Kickoff

Usual afternoon team lifting session:
Ab routine
Hanging cleans- 3 sets of 6 working up to 135 lbs
BB Squats- 3 sets of 8 working up to 225 lbs
BB RDLs- 3 sets of 8 at 105 lbs
Hanging leg raises- 3 sets of 15
Pushups- 3 sets of 15
Dynamax wall throws- 3 sets of 10 each side
Ended with 2 sets of 7-8 reps of BB curls at 65 lbs

Ate a good recovery dinner and then headed out to help Coach Shaw with his VA Legacy youth team. Was a good chance to see all the young guys again and kick around with them for thier session. In all a good day of activty to kick off the week.

  3. I'd like to see you two pansies squat 225 lbs 8x on your 3rd set after doing hang cleans at 90% of your own body weight!

  4. Old Zimm... the 10 secs it takes you to reach lactate and fail is what Zimm Jr. and I operate on for the entire 60 min session. I guess intensity is relative as you age...
