As a result of my continued involvement in the world of fitness and sports performance training, I learned from my mentor Brian Diaz of the importance of training logs. Hence, below are my attempts to accurately document what I do as a collegiate soccer player, both on and off the field. Enjoy!

Championship Effort

There's a new sign on the weight room door as you walk in: "All we ask is for you to give a championship effort every time you step in this room." Love it.
Today's work:
Ab routine warm up
Bench press- 8 reps at 125 lbs, 8 reps at 135 lbs, and 2 sets of 3 reps at 155 lbs. Much better today.
BB standing rows- 3 sets of 10 at 95 lbs
Incline DB bench- 2 sets of 6 with 45 lbs DBs
Standing BB push press- 3 sets of 6 working up to 105 lbs
Hanging full body pulls- 2 sets of 12 reps, 3rd to failure at 15
Dips- 15 reps, 14 reps, then 10 reps to fail
Shoulder series- 2 sets of 7,7,7

Good lift, definitely sore, feeling a little sick this week, but got to keep rolling. Also keeping a family friend, Andrew Crabtree, in my prayers since he was recently diagnosed with cancer and begins his chemo treatment today...Livestrong Andrew with championship effort.

  1. LIVESTRONG indeed chief... and also, a reminder to your coaches they need to abide by the same standards hanging above that door every time they instruct, motivate, and lead. It goes both ways my dude.
