As a result of my continued involvement in the world of fitness and sports performance training, I learned from my mentor Brian Diaz of the importance of training logs. Hence, below are my attempts to accurately document what I do as a collegiate soccer player, both on and off the field. Enjoy!

Week 1- Testing

After my first two classes this morning I headed to the weight room for our team's first spring season workout. Love our new weight coach, Mike. We did an introduction to the weight room, weighed in, and then began testing. I weighed in at a solid 151.6. Today we tested 1-3 rep max on the cleans and then chinups (overhand grip). I worked comfortably up in the cleans and did 145 lbs 3 times. Then went to 155 lbs and maxed out on my first rep (knew I was done after the weight and I hit the floor on the third attempt!). Then we went to chinups where I had a good showing with 10 straight reps before failure. Now relaxing before dinner and then back to the grind tomorrow morning. Will be interested to see if we have any major winter precip. tonight.

  1. Check to the accuracy of the CNU scales.. confirmed at Training HQ. Will have to better that chin-up number in the summer chief... needs to become the Zimm specialty as well!
