As a result of my continued involvement in the world of fitness and sports performance training, I learned from my mentor Brian Diaz of the importance of training logs. Hence, below are my attempts to accurately document what I do as a collegiate soccer player, both on and off the field. Enjoy!

Big 3 Up and Running

Good day of work at the Edge.
Running workout on the treadmills only, no lifting.
Was nice to have Chad back, disappointed he didn't work in on the treadmills with us but went for his own outdoors run instead. Was an acceptable call, certainly something I didn't want to do in this sub thirty degree weather. The big 3 (BD, Morven, and I) rolled on together:
A little over a two mile warm up at sub 8:30 pace for 20 minutes.
Then 5 sets of 2 minute hard intervals (6:40 pace) with 1 minute jog in between, followed by 5 sets of 20 seconds of hard sprints with 10 seconds standing rest between each. Then cool down. It ended up being a total of just over 5 miles of running.

Did not go into absolute fatigue as I did on Monday's run, glad I held pace today.
Helped train a few athletes and then headed home to visit with Nana and Pops.
Interested to see if we get any major wintery weather tomorrow, will have to make sure it doesn't affect training!
