As a result of my continued involvement in the world of fitness and sports performance training, I learned from my mentor Brian Diaz of the importance of training logs. Hence, below are my attempts to accurately document what I do as a collegiate soccer player, both on and off the field. Enjoy!

Off Day and Summer Training Tour Reflections

On this last off day for the summer it is good to give the legs a rest before the preseason push and to take a moment to reflect on the last few months' progress.
Successes:
1. New track mile record at 5:29.
2. Completion of my first metric century bike (62 miles, 100km)
3. Overall dramatic improvement of leg strength and bike skills not only for soccer but also future racing.
4. Second place finish (19 years and under) in the NC 10K State Championship
5. New bench press max of 170 lbs (up from 155)
6. Five pound weight gain from 145 to 150 (which will probably be lost again in the course of the season)
7. Renewed friendships at AE especially with Chad and BD.

Disappointments:
1. Hamstring tweak near the end of summer
2. No above 20 mph avg. bike
3. No 185 lbs. bench max
4. No Duke Trail double loop in under 42 minutes
5. No attempt at squat max

However, I believe the good dramatically out weighs the bad and I'm thankful for all the good lunches, runs, cracks, jokes, laughs, and memories of this summer.
