As a result of my continued involvement in the world of fitness and sports performance training, I learned from my mentor Brian Diaz of the importance of training logs. Hence, below are my attempts to accurately document what I do as a collegiate soccer player, both on and off the field. Enjoy!

A New Start

New week, new opportunities.
Morning run on Noland, last one for the season (hopefully) given 13 minute time limit, came in at 12:39. Felt awful the whole way, leg sore, both legs tired, not mentally strong. Ran with the fast group, was a hard fight to stay in contact, but managed to hold on. Glad to be done, leg felt loose afterwards which was a good sign.

Afternoon practice was very hot today, in the mid 90s with little shade or breeze. Good fitness and quickness work along with the circuit to start. Then compact 11v11 to simulate the scrimmage from Friday. Was happy to get to play with the starters, leg felt ok but was very sore by the sprints at the end. Wish I could go top end speed but that will have to wait. Just trying to hold on for now and keep working.
