As a result of my continued involvement in the world of fitness and sports performance training, I learned from my mentor Brian Diaz of the importance of training logs. Hence, below are my attempts to accurately document what I do as a collegiate soccer player, both on and off the field. Enjoy!

First Week Tapped

A great way to kick off 2012 with a solid week of training.  Rounded out the week today with a lift at the gym followed by a ride from the estate.  Did a full upper body lift with Brian and David Hey after a 1/2 mile warm up on the treadmill:
Bench (5,4,3,2,1), SA KB pulls, alt. lat pull ups, tricep push downs, decline abs, SA DB raises, and cable curls.  I'm not as strong as I'd like to be on the bench right now, but at a good starting point for the spring lifting that is to come.

After the gym, Brian and I met up with Roger to do our classic Pleasant Green Rd. hill repeats.  Route details here.  This time we did four loops (instead of 3 as shown in the ride details) for a total of 25 miles at an 18.0 mph average.  Much easier to go faster with a team effort but very tired nonetheless.  After this week's activity my total mileage for the 2012 I-40 challenge is 76.5.  Now time for a nice dinner and some rest!
