As a result of my continued involvement in the world of fitness and sports performance training, I learned from my mentor Brian Diaz of the importance of training logs. Hence, below are my attempts to accurately document what I do as a collegiate soccer player, both on and off the field. Enjoy!

Eve of the Eve

Today is the eve of Christmas Eve...excitement is building around the house at this time of year.  A catch up on this week's fitness and activities:

Wednesday- went down to CapRunWalk for a workout session with Dad and his pal Franklin.  Full body lift exercises with 90 second treadmill intervals between each set.  Exercises included pushups on the stability ball, bench press, cross-cable flies, ladder/jump rope drills, abs, military press, DB curls, and triceps.  Needless to say after four straight days of lifting I was tired.

Thursday- Brian headed out of town with his family, so I helped Meredith around the gym some in the morning. It was nice and warm outside so I got my bike out to do a ride when I got home...unfortunately it started pouring after I got about 4 miles out, so I looped it around and brought it home since the roads were getting very slick.

Friday- the skies were clear and it was 62 degrees outside, prefect for riding.  I headed to the gym to exchange gifts with Kelsey and Mer - thank you so much guys, your gifts were awesome! - and I came  home to get my bike workout in.  Very windy in the beginning, but the temp was great for a solo ride.  Details of the loop here.  Exactly 18 miles at a 17.6 mph average (time of 1:01:12).

If I don't get a chance to post again before Sunday, a Merry Christmas to all!
