Saturday I got up and hit the Umstead trail with Patty and his dad. Glad Patty asked me to come out and pushed the pace. We did a long section of single-track and it was good coordination practice...I tripped twice but was fine and maintained pace. We totaled a very solid 6 miles.
Sunday I got up early and met the Jedi for what was planned to be a 30 mile ride...due to some technical difficulties we only got 12 done, but a great ride nonetheless. Good talks and good times.
Monday morning was track workout- 100 yd single cut back and then 100 yd sprint repeated 6 times. Followed by weights in the evening- Bench press, jump rope, SA DB incline press, dips, weight-added planks, single leg box jumps, KB front squats, leg press. All for 3 sets each at good weights. (Bench had a fourth set of 4 reps at 150 lbs to finish off the routine)
Tuesday morning run- 400M, 600M, 2x800M, 600M (last one all out at 1:47- the shorter distances at reasonable times and the 800s at about 3 minutes). Glad to have the whole team out there to push me. Evening lift with Chad, Kelsey, and Brian- Hanging cleans, WG pull ups, twisting decline dynamax slams, DB walking lunges, hamstring let-downs, full twisting hanging leg raises, BB curls, SA DB seated arnold press.
The last week of activity combined with work has been tough and I'm looking forward to an off day tomorrow. Glad Meredith is hanging tough on the coffee bet...well done Mer, you are a beast as always! Just got off the phone with Kalee and very excited that her trip to CA is off to a great start...tours rolling on point.
