As a result of my continued involvement in the world of fitness and sports performance training, I learned from my mentor Brian Diaz of the importance of training logs. Hence, below are my attempts to accurately document what I do as a collegiate soccer player, both on and off the field. Enjoy!

Spirits High

After a good morning of classes we hit the weight room this afternoon and went through a solid leg routine:
Ab warm up
3 sets of 5 box jumps
4 sets of deep BB squats- working up to 175 lbs
BB lunges- 3 sets of 5 each leg with 105 lbs
Tuck jumps- 2 sets of 15
Bulgarian SL squats- 2 sets of 5 each leg with 35 lbs DBs

I noticed as I finished up my workout that the rest of the team was in a really good mood...lots of smiles, laughter, and good spirits. I'm glad to be on a team with so many great guys who enjoy what they do and care about each other.

After the lift I did the customary 10 laps around the field with Zack Jones. He's a great distance runner and always pushes me...I just couldn't beat him at the end. In all it was a good Ash Wednesday...I'm disappointed I couldn't get to church but really happy to start my fast...it will be tough but very fulfilling.
