As a result of my continued involvement in the world of fitness and sports performance training, I learned from my mentor Brian Diaz of the importance of training logs. Hence, below are my attempts to accurately document what I do as a collegiate soccer player, both on and off the field. Enjoy!

Tapped

This would have to be the one word to describe how I felt after today's Christmas Eve work out.
We did the workout famously known as the Beowulf (because it is epic!)
Beowulf routine (all timed):
1000M row
800M run
50 dips
100 Chinups
150 Med. Slam Balls
800M run
1000M row

The dips, chinups, and slam balls can be done in any order in any combination, but must be fully completed before the final run and row.

I did all dips at body weight and finished the slamballs relatively easily. It was the chinups that killed me. I did the first 20 with no assistance, but had no choice but to add weighted help on the machine to complete the remaining 80 - otherwise I would have been there all week. I ran both 800s at a 6:40 pace. In total, the workout took me 43 minutes and 26 seconds. Tyler did it in 45 minutes and some change and Brain beat me by exactly 10 minutes- impressive results for both of them. Morven and her friend put forward a great time as well before we started our routine. Still sad Chad is sick, but hopefully this off time will get him back to 100% for next week's work. Today is probably the most tired I have felt since my near death experience on the bike over the summer. Glad it's done, knowing I put forth 100%. A Merry Christmas to all!
