As a result of my continued involvement in the world of fitness and sports performance training, I learned from my mentor Brian Diaz of the importance of training logs. Hence, below are my attempts to accurately document what I do as a collegiate soccer player, both on and off the field. Enjoy!

Success Through Failure

Pushers lift today after training some fellow Edge athletes.
Morven, BD, and I rolled on the lift while Meredith worked on her plan. Sorry Chad is feeling sick, hopefully he can rally for our epic (traditional) Christmas eve lift tomorrow.

4 sets of leg press combined with bench press: 10, 8, 6, 4, max (failed on the max and got VERY upset but Brian reminded me there is success in failing...I will only get stronger...I needed to rally mentally as to not let the rest of the workout be ruined)
Lay down SA DB bench on foam roller (very hard!) with high box jumps
Then 7,7,7 shoulder series combined with squats (with back loaded BB) on the Bosu (also very hard!)
Had a number of new exercises in the routine that I definitely enjoyed.

Then we jumped on the bikes for an hour and watched a sweet running documentary about marathoning. Hard to watch people put themselves through pain while you do the same thing. 5 minutes spinning, then 3 minutes hard, 3 minutes rest, then 6 hard, 6 rest, 9 hard, 9 rest, 6 hard, 6 rest, 3 hard, and then cool down. Over 17 miles of riding at a 17.7 mph avg. before the cool down. Pleased with today's work despite some troubles on the bench. Looking forward to tomorrow, probably my favorite day of the year.
