As a result of my continued involvement in the world of fitness and sports performance training, I learned from my mentor Brian Diaz of the importance of training logs. Hence, below are my attempts to accurately document what I do as a collegiate soccer player, both on and off the field. Enjoy!

Champions!

CGHS soccer claimed its third state title (first in the AAA class) this past Saturday. It was a tough game against Hickory High as we went into half up 1-0 off a scrappy goal in the box. However Hickory came down and scored a nice goal to tie it 1-1. Things were looking dicey and Tyler wasn't having the best of games. But he stayed persistent and soon enough got the ball down the right side, did a nice move on his man and crossed it in the box where his teammate (the game MVP) finished a perfect header. Gibbons defended the last 15 minutes and won it all with a 2-1 decision. Congrats to Tyler and the team, it was a great season! Tyler became one of Gibbons key leaders this season and was the team co-scoring leader. He certainly has solidified his place in the Gibbons soccer history of greats. Game article here.

It was great to come back see old friends and coaches as well as the family this weekend. Kalee and I had a great visit and I'm thrilled we were able to see Tyler cap off his break-out season with a state title.
