As a result of my continued involvement in the world of fitness and sports performance training, I learned from my mentor Brian Diaz of the importance of training logs. Hence, below are my attempts to accurately document what I do as a collegiate soccer player, both on and off the field. Enjoy!

Monday Training

Back to the grind this week following a solid weekend.
Afternoon rehab followed by practice:
Warmup, followed by circuit (see specifics below BD!), followed by passing drills.
Then half-field possession game followed by crossing and finishing drills.
Ended with 5 minutes of dribble work.
Its nice to see signs of fall today, the weather is cooling down some which makes for great afternoon training sessions.

Circuit work:
5 stations- weighted jump ropes, abs, juggling, pushups, rest. Each station is timed (today was 40 seconds, but this varies from 30 seconds up to 45) and each person must go through the cycle two times. Great plyo and cardio work design by coach.

  1. We should go for total reps like 100 of each and go for fastest time... let's keep it competitive always... work rate will go up if they have to reach a certain time!
