Had a good morning run, did 1.2 miles right out of bed without any nutrition or major warm up. Hilly run through the neighborhood, did it in 8:27 which works out to be a 6:50 pace. Need to be just under 6 for pre season, so some work to do in the next couple of days, but I know its do-able.
Then afternoon rehab with Chad and enjoyed watching a few Gibbons scrimmages against Jordan and Apex. Nice to see some old friends as well and touch the ball for a few minutes. Looking forward to getting stronger and healthier.
Looks good chief... for today let's get back to some interval. 600m runs... warm up and stretch and then go for 2:15 pace for 4-5 of them. This will be a test to see where you are at really... that's a 6 min pace. Then jog the remainder of the lap to make it an 800m..rest for 1:30 and go again.
ReplyDeleteSo, in review: warmup, 600m in 2:15..jog 200m in about 1 min..standing rest for 1:30 and then go again. Shoot for 4-5 of them. MAKE SURE YOU ARE WARM! Stretch good after...
