As a result of my continued involvement in the world of fitness and sports performance training, I learned from my mentor Brian Diaz of the importance of training logs. Hence, below are my attempts to accurately document what I do as a collegiate soccer player, both on and off the field. Enjoy!

Regular Season Over

We capped off the regular season yesterday with a huge win on the road over Mary Washington.  Always fun to have some special fans join us to watch the game.  MW came out firing with a quick 1-0 lead but we bounced back to tie it up before half.  I won a 50/50 ball in their box on a pass to Jalon who crossed it for a goal.  We let the hammer down in the second half with 3 more goals to win 4-1.  Now fingers crossed for an at large NCAA bid as we head into the conference tourney round 1 game this weekend.

First Start

Finally finally finally had my chance to start a game this weekend...and I made the most of it possible.  We played Saturday afternoon against Maryville, who is a new addition to our conference in the USA South.  I played the majority of the game a held down the middle as coach instructed.  Off a defensive win in the middle I helped create our first goal (a rocket left footed shot by Jalon) and helped set up a number of other opportunities.  We went into half up 2-0 and that ended up being the final result.  I had a 50/50 win in the box in the second half that I hit for a left footed shot that just went over - really wished I had that one go in.  Hopefully with more minutes more opportunities like that will come.  I was very honored to have dad visit this weekend and watch my first-ever career start.  Congrats to T on a solid start and win this weekend as well.

Thought I'd share a few pics - the cover of our soccer media guide and a picture I love of mom greeting me after one of our recent games:
