As a result of my continued involvement in the world of fitness and sports performance training, I learned from my mentor Brian Diaz of the importance of training logs. Hence, below are my attempts to accurately document what I do as a collegiate soccer player, both on and off the field. Enjoy!

Weekend Grinding

Friday morning- Early track work with the Activedge team. Quickness drills, stadiums, and ended with 6x40 yard dashes. Last one at roughly 4.79 seconds...not bad with tired legs. I decided after the workout that I was fresh enough to give the 800M a try. With Brian's coaching I managed to go 1st lap at 1:07 and finished with 2:28...still some work to do but I was glad to fully push myself mentally and physically on that. Had a loooong day at work after that...11 hours total on the clock and didn't manage to get off until 8pm. Tough way to round out the week.

Off day Saturday- was very nice to sleep in for the first time in quite a while and hit the pool with mom.

Sunday- AM ride/run. Ride was great with the Jedi until I flatted out about 8 miles into our warm up loop. Quick tire change thanks to the Jedi's generous help and we were back rolling. Unfortunately when we hit the two mile TT circuit- after the first major climb two miles in- I flatted again. Ride done for the day...thank you again Jedi for coming to pick me up! I guess after about 2000 miles on those tires without incident I was bound to flat at some point...unfortunate but part of the tour. Also disappointed that no cars or even other fellow riders were kind enough to ask if I was ok while waiting for help....very undece. We made it back and Tyler met us for our two mile run...1 mile out up hill and 1 mile back down hill. Out at 7:40 back in 5:50 for me. Tyler pulled away on the mile back...I let him go but the Jedi encouraged me to close the gap, so I went after it but couldn't stay with him long....tough day on the legs. Glad for some good training...disappointed that I have to wait a whole week until we can ride again. Back on the track tomorrow morning. A shout out to Dad and the Jedi on Father's Day...hope it was a good one!
